Testing

Helping you get to the root cause of your symptoms

Every body is unique so the conventional medical approach of one size fits all often doesn’t work. The same symptom may be driven by different underlying causes in different people. Likewise, the same underlying cause may manifest as different symptoms. Testing helps us dig deeper to identify any hidden imbalances which may provide the missing piece of the puzzle for you and your body.

Why I recommend Testing

Who wants to be ‘normal’ when you could be ‘optimal’?

My goal is to help my clients get back to optimal health and feeling themselves again in the most effective and efficient way. You may have had tests done by your doctor in the past and were told they were normal, but this doesn’t necessarily mean they were optimal. The normal range is often very broad and results at the low or high end may still be contributing to your symptoms.

Targeted, comprehensive testing adds an additional layer of information, helping to complete the picture, and allowing me to further personalise my advice and recommendations. This is why I will often recommend tests to my clients alongside their nutrition and coaching programmes.

The benefits of testing

Reduces the guess work

Despite being pretty intuitive when assessing a clients’ symptoms, our bodies are complex and it’s impossible to know everything! Relevant testing can help provide the missing link, allowing me to provide you with a more targeted protocol to address YOUR specific needs.

Measurable baseline to track progress

Testing gives us a baseline against which we can measure your progress and assess the effectiveness of the interventions. Being able to look back and see how far you’ve come and the impact it has had on your day to day life is very rewarding!

Targeted programme for quicker results

Understanding your unique imbalances, enables me to tailor-make a diet, lifestyle and supplement programme for YOU and no-one else! This can help get you more effective results faster meaning you can get back to feeling great sooner.

Greater empowerment and motivation

Finally having answers to your symptoms is extremely empowering. Seeing something in black and white and knowing there are potential solutions you can implement can provide the motivation you need to commit to the programme and see it through.

What tests are used?

The tests recommended will depend on the individual and the symptoms they are suffering with. In my experience, a combination of the following key tests provide really good insights when it comes to hormone imbalances and common perimenopausal symptoms such as low energy, low mood, anxiety, mood swings, stress, brain fog, headaches, migraines, digestive problems, skin issues, muscle tension, weight gain and sleep issues.

If I think tests may be of benefit, these will be discussed on your free call or during your programme
